The president of Flint Community Schools judges the gift of Elon Musk's water "incredible".

FLINT, MI – Senior Flint Community School Leader Salutes Undisclosed Gift of Technology Billionaire Elon Musk, Who Will Help Fund Purchase of New Water Stations and Water Filtration in the whole district.

Education Council Chair Diana Wright said in a statement released on Friday, Oct. 5 that school heads are thanking Musk and the Musk Foundation "for this donation, which will help community school students of Flint to have access to safe water the source …

"This incredible expression of support (…), combined with the long-standing support of the Mott Foundation and other community partners, has been wonderful for our district," says Wright's release.

FCS announced the donation in a Twitter message Thursday, October 4, but the district has not yet announced the amount of the donation.

Elon Musk will pay for water stations and filtration in all Flint schools

In a response to the FCS tweet, Musk responded that he always hoped to do more for the students of the city.

This donation comes a few months after Musk announced that he would contact Mayor Karen Weaver and wanted to discuss what the city needed to help her recover from the water crisis.
