The Jets will have a hard time fighting off the Denver Broncos on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. For starters, they try to avoid a series of four defeats and find some of their good vibrations from the preseason and the first week. make it appear in the statistics. It's the NFL, however – nothing is easy.

Here are 11 things that could get Darnold and Jets into trouble against the Broncos on Sunday.
Trust shaken
Darnold and the coaching staff said they saw signs of progress against the Jaguars last week, but they obviously did not show up. That makes it two straight games with ugly statistics for Darnold. He said all the good things as a result and seems to have overcome all the hardships, but there is no way to know what he feels inside. There is at least an external chance that the last weeks have shaken it and have lingering effects.
Anxiety lost
Although Darnold still has confidence in his own abilities, he finds himself in an unusual situation – this is the first time his team loses three times in a row since he's in high school. How Darnold will react to this is another point of questioning. Perhaps he is the same man with the equal keel that he puts forward every day. But it is not out of the question that all these losses drag him along and push him a little too hard.
Pressure to play at home
The Jets spent all week saying that they had to protect their own field and win victories during this three-game home encounter. Obviously, every team wants to win at home. Given the recent fighting of the Jets, an extended family home seems to be the perfect remedy. But that could also go in the opposite direction. The Jets desperately need to win at least two of those three games. What will happen if the Jets lose Sunday? What happens when they slide to 1-4? There is a lot of pressure to play at this home game and seize this opportunity to change things. Darnold and the Jets must be careful not to give in to thinking too much about anything.
