South Carolina and Missouri are poised to play a crucial role in the success of Gamecocks this season. As we approach the sendoff, we look at several topics covered in the game. The line has been set, some better than others, and several of our staff and a selected VIP member from TheBigSpur.com make their predictions – more or less?

South Carolina will rush for 175 yards

John Del Bianco: Will Muschamp said all season they trust Michael Scarnecchia with the first team offense, his knowledge of the system and his ability to distribute football. However, I find it hard to believe that the ground game is not the main objective, while the alternate quarterback plays the role of "game manager". The Gamecocks have run the ball well in the last two weeks. With probably more ground games than in the air to keep the Missouri offensive on the sidelines, I think they can reach that goal. Hale McGranahan: Opponents have rushed for just over 102 yards per game this season against the Missouri defense, which is a little surprising given the weakness of this side of the ball for the Tigers in the past two years. While the Gamecocks will go well with him, he totals the total yards, but the total number of touchdowns he throws to the ground must remain low to get a home win. HM: Missouri has shown he is more involved in running with three records, so Lock may not have as many opportunities to let him fly. More. I think South Carolina will do their best to get the ball out a bit and try to keep the Tigers offense out of the way. BELOW

JW: Lock was above that figure a year and slightly below once against the Gamecocks. I feel he will end his career on a high note.
