Carrie Underwood shows a close-up of a facial scar in Selfie

Now everyone knows that Carrie Underwood– as many of us – have scars. The singer has suffered a terrible fall last November, resulting in facial wounds and several stitches. She was reluctant to share healing photos for a while, but now she does not seem to need to hide anymore.

In a selfie back on Friday, October 5th, Underwood's scar above his upper lip is clearly visible. The photo comes from the shooting of his video "Love Wins", released in September. (The scar is not visible in the clip.)

Underwood shared pictures of herself in which her scars were visible (such as that one from August), but it is probably the clearest to date.

Fans have widely applauded her photo, many saying it's a source of inspiration for those who have their own scars.

"As a mother who is raising a girl with a scar on the bridge of the nose, I applaud your courage," wrote one of them. "Keep showing that life is happening and that we can continue," approved another.

While the 35-year-old star – who is expecting her second child with her husband Mike Fisher – may have at first felt embarrassed by the scars, she has since had some perception of her appearance.

As she said Red book in August: "Whenever someone gets hurt, it looks very bad at first, and you say, 'How are you going to end?' "You simply do not know," she continued. a thing of perception, because I look at myself [now] and I see it a little, but other people are saying, "I would not even notice."
