Jose Mourinho does not deserve any credit and Paul Pogba was right

Manchester United were so bad in the first 15 minutes of their game against Newcastle, it was easy to wonder if the players were trying to get Jose Mourinho fired. But they found their lives in the second half, winning a brilliant 3-2 win and probably saving Mourinho's job.

But Mourinho should not have any credit for this return, even if he is responsible for improving the strategy in the second half. United won the match by playing in a manner completely contrary to Mourinho's professed style, and it was the players he criticized the most that did the hard work.

The best player of the second half was Paul Pogba. Once United moved to a total attack tactic with very little structure, Pogba started to advance the team. He led all players in touch, in full passes and in shots. Most of his deaths were positive and he had help.

Pogba has been at the center of most of the controversies related to Mourinho over the past two years. Most of this is centered on the fact that he wants to play a more creative role in a more offensive team than Mourinho is willing to play.

Last season, Pogba was inexplicably abandoned in favor of Scott McTominay, the prototype of the substitute player, so that Mourinho could assert his point of view on the attitude or the respect of the instructions or something of the kind. Unsurprisingly, United did not improve as a result of this change.

An excellent performance at the World Cup prompted fans to think that Pogba would finally have a great year at United, but his relationship with Mourinho seems to be deteriorating, not improving.

Pogba recently publicly criticized Mourinho's tactics by saying, "At home, we must attack, attack, attack. It's Old Trafford. We are here to attack. "We should move better." We should move more. A short time later, Pogba was banned from talking to reporters. Saturday's winning goal was scored by Alexis Sanchez.

Alexis was recently removed from the team after apparently being shouted in front of all his teammates. If the Manchester United board had decided to send Mourinho back for a bad result against Newcastle, he should still do it.
