Ozzy Osbourne has postponed his October 6 concert at Mountain View's Shoreline Amphitheater due to a medical situation.
The heavy metal hero, known both for his work with the legendary Black Sabbath and for his own solo career as a multi-platinum, should have undergone surgery by hand.
"The singer and songwriter inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is currently being treated for an infection that has earned him surgery this morning (Saturday, October 6)," a statement said. "Osbourne will spend a few days at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles where he will remain under the supervision of a doctor while monitoring the infection."
The Shoreline show, part of Osbourne's No More Tours farewell tour, and this year's 107.7 concert, Bone Bench XVIII, has been postponed until October 16th.
"Holders of tickets for the October 6 issue should keep their tickets as they will be honored on the date postponed from October 16. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase," according to the press release .
The press release contained a photo of Osbourne showing his injured right hand from his hospital bed.
The first part of the October 16 broadcast will be announced later.
The tour is scheduled to resume with performances on Oct. 10 at the Mattress Firm Amphitheater in Chula Vista, Oct. 11 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Oct. 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
