DENVER (CBS4) – The next storm is here and it will affect the Colorado until Tuesday.
It is already raining on the western slope with snow in the mountains and it will continue into the night.
We think for the most part that eastern Colorado will remain calm tonight but some showers can not be ruled out.
Snow levels until Sunday sunrise will be as low as 9,000 feet.
Sunday will have periods of showers all over the place with snow in the mountains. It can take until the afternoon for the rain to start moving to Denver.
By Sunday evening and Monday morning, the snow level could drop between 5,500 and 7,000 feet for a while, so plan a potential rain-snow mix if you live at these altitudes.
This could also happen Monday night to Tuesday.
We remain cold and disturbed until the next week, with a risk of frost hard Wednesday morning.
