After Travis Scott teased on Tonight's show that he had surprises in store for his debut Saturday Night Live The rapper was recruited by John Mayer, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala and producer Mike Dean.
For Scott's opening performance, the Houston rapper formed an unlikely super group with Mayer and Parker to play an awesome mix of "Skeletons" and "Astrothunder", both from his latest album. Astroworld. The performance also marked the first time Scott played "Astrothunder" live.
As AstroworldThe cover was supposed to look like an amusement park with a woman riding a rotating carousel horse. Later, Scott returned to the SNL scene with a performance of Astroworld standout "Sicko Mode" with Dean. Scott hit the track on the back of an arcade console.
In addition to being SNL"Musical Guest", he also appeared in a sketch alongside animator Awkwafina about a late-night dance featuring a dancer from Mariah Carey named Lil Bang Bang, who showed off his talents Danger! theme song.
Next week's episode, hosted by Seth Meyers SNL will feature musical guest Paul Simon.
