Lil Wayne's performance ends abruptly after fear of gunfire

The chaos erupted as Lil Wayne performed at the A3C 2018 Festival in Atlanta Sunday after fearing a possible shootout, causing panic among the crowds.

WSB-TV Channel 2 in Atlanta got a video of the panicked flight of the Georgia Freight Depot where Wayne had just started playing Sunday night. Cherie Hu, a journalist specializing in music and technology, wrote on Twitter that she was present at the concert when the crowd was suddenly busy.

"The crowd of @ a3c started moving away from the stage, minutes after the start of Lil Wayne's performance," she wrote. "No one knows exactly what happened, some will say that the fight has escalated – but the security is currently clearing the whole site – I'm safe and I'll let you know as soon as I get there. A FOX 5 reporter from Atlanta wrote on Twitter that at least six people were wounded in the chaos, without being serious.

The organizers of the festival issued a statement Sunday night stating that there had been no shooting and that the panic was caused by a fight that had erupted:
