After the overwhelming assault of Patrick Reed on the American Ryder Cup system and the pair picks Last week, Captain Jim Furyk responded … sort of. Furyk gave an interview to Golf Channel on Monday to discuss the Ryder Cup and, of course, the relationship between Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth was mentioned as part of the conversion.
Reed told the New York Times Last week, he was "blinded" by not pairing with his previous partner, Spieth, in Paris for these matches.
"The problem is obviously with Jordan who does not want to play with me," Reed told the Time. "I do not have any problem with Jordan.In the end, I do not care if I like the person I'm paired with or if that person likes me so much that it works and that it sets the team for success, he and I know how to improve each other, we know how to do the job. "
Furyk told Golf Channel Monday that the Ryder Cup matches were well known before the matches.

The whole saga is a bit of a disaster, and it's easy to do a Monday morning shift (which the media and the Reeds did). In the end, the bottom line stays what it was a week ago. Reed and Woods did not play golf very well and they took a pair of L's because of that. Furyk is the leader because he is the leader, but as always, playing the best golf hides everything else.
