The international community can not help getting rid of Taylor Swift's bomb: even if she has a political opinion.
The support of Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen in the deep red of Tennessee was left Monday by Swift supporters, typically apolitical, kissing the singer of "Love Story" or promising to turn off his music.
In a post posted on Instagram on Sunday, Swift acknowledged her lack of political activity in the past and explained that she was concerned about women's issues and the LBGTQ.
"In the past, I have been reluctant to publicly express my political views, but because of many events in my life and around the world in the last two years, I have a very different opinion about it now," was -she writes.
"I am very different from this now, I have always voted and will always vote according to the candidate who will protect and fight for the human rights we all deserve in this country."
Fast supporters have praised her for entering what has unexplored waters.
"It takes a lot of courage to express what you believe in, especially when a large part of your main audience, your bread and butter … may not share those beliefs. @ taylorswift13, "wrote a Twitter user named @ Lindsaykustich.
"#Taylor Swift sued his sexual abuser in court and won, spreading the message that the aggression mattered," wrote a Twitter user, Joanna Turner Bisgrove.
"Congratulations to her for using her influence to convey the message that voting in elections is important and that finding out about the issues and the position of your representatives is important."
The former Arkansas governor and two-time presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee, made fun of Swift and his fans, saying they were too young to get there anyway.
"So @ taylorswift13 is perfectly entitled to be political, but it will not have an impact on the elections if we do not allow 13-year-old girls to vote," Huckabee tweeted. "Still with #MarshaBlackburn."
The bad mood of the GOP against Swift was soft music for his liberal fans.
"Mansplainers will" burst, "burst," burst, "burst," burst, "US representative Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., Tweeted to one of Swfit's male critics.
The race in Tennessee, which will replace outgoing Senator GOP, Senator Bob Corker, is one of the most watched in the nation, as Democrats have the opportunity to overthrow a Republican-held seat since 1995.
Recent polls show that Bredesen, a former state governor of volunteers, has engaged in a close battle with US representative Marsha Blackburn, one of President Trump's most ardent supporters.
Filmmaker famous Rob Reiner welcomed Swift into the world of political activism.
"A big thank you to @ taylorswift13. for speaking, "he wrote on Twitter. "You can change this country alone. Impress your fans just how critical and powerful their voices are. If you send them to the polls on November 6, everything that matters to you will be protected. #VOTE."
Republicans soon made Swift a world-wide leftist entertainment elite.
"If you have not heard of it, the multi-millionaire pop-star Taylor Swift has come down from her ivory tower to tell Tennesseans, who was working hard, to vote for Phil Bredesen," said a statement from the committee. National Republican Senate.
Swift, a ten-time Grammy Award winner, is one of the world's biggest pop stars, with more than 83 million Twitter followers and 112 million followers on Instagram, was remarkably absent from the political scene.
While peers like Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus were active in Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, Swift stuck to the stands.
And the right-wing trolls, writing in the 4Chan bulletin boards and in the Daily Stormer, have long been celebrating Swift as their ideal wife – pretty, white, blonde and without political opinion.
"She stays silent and people condemn her. She speaks and people condemn her, but I think she knew it would happen – and I think she does not care, "wrote a Twitter user named @BrkMeLikAPromis.
"If you are damned if you love and if you do not, you might as well take a stand for what you believe in. Proud of you @ taylorswift13."
