We had a big injury Monday night when it was announced that Eagles running back Jay Ajayi would be placed in the injured reserve with a torn ACL. This will make Wendell Smallwood very popular on this week's waiver thread.

Smallwood will be part of a rotation with Corey Clement and Darren Sproles, but Smallwood is expected to have the most contacts in the sixth week at the Giants. The game takes place Thursday night and Clément (quad) has not played since the third week, while Sproles (hamstring) is absent since his injury in the first week.

Clement also deserves to be added in all the leagues and could eventually become the starter, but the Eagles will likely use several backs for the remainder of the season, based on the track record of coach Doug Pederson. Or Philadelphia could be a buyer via trade – the "Veon Bell is clearly a possibility – after the team acquired Ajayi from Miami last year in a mid-season contract.

For now, Smallwood should be the # 1 player added to all leagues. And it will likely be a starting option for Fantasy at Week 6, especially if Clement is not ready for a heavy workload upon returning to the field.

In other injury news, Alfred Morris could also be a popular addition with Matt Breida's (ankle) waiver. And Fantasy owners will probably need help to cope with the suffering of Brandin Cooks (concussion) and Cooper Kupp (concussion).

And with New Orleans and Detroit on a bye, we are without several stars in Week 6, including quarterbacks Drew Brees and Matthew Stafford. Jameis Winston is a priority for anyone who needs a quarterback because he could be one of the 10 best Fantasy smugglers for the rest of the season.
