British and European negotiators move closer to Brexit agreement

BRUSSELS – British and European negotiators have envisioned an agreement on Brexit, reducing differences over the main blocking point in Northern Ireland.

Although obstacles remain, negotiators on both sides now believe that London and Brussels could settle an exit agreement in time for a critical summit of EU leaders next week. This would still allow both parties to agree on a blueprint of their future trade and security relations, and the UK Parliament and European Parliaments should ratify an exit agreement.
