A stab was reported at Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska. Alia Conley from Omaha World Herald's tweeted that a "student stabbed a student". Conley added that the weapon had been found and that the student was in detention. Conley also said that the rest of the school is secure. The identity of the students involved in the incident has not been revealed.
KETV reports that the incident occurred around 14:30. local time, October 9th. The school was closed. The Omaha World-Herald reports that the student has cut him off. The incident occurred in the school's ROTC room. The World-Herald reports that both students were taken to the Creighton University Medical Center – Bergen Mercy and are in critical condition.
On 4 October, it was reported that the authorities were investigating a threat by a former student against Burke High School. According to US News & World Report, there are 2,108 students enrolled in the school and 125 teachers.
