SAN FRANCISCO, California (KRON) – With flu season just around the corner, many are taking care to avoid getting sick.
Whether there is a lot of money or a lot of money, there are many precautions to take into account.
But some parents, especially those of newborns, are kicking it up with some clever signs.
One such mama posted a photo of her "No Touching" sign over her baby car seat to a Facebook group called "Breastfeeding Mama Talk."
She captioned the photo "Thoughts? Would you like this on your baby car seat?"
While some commenting voiced support for the idea, some thought of it as overkill.
"Do not touch other people or their children, it's creepy, do not be creepy," one person said.
"… this world is turning into a bunch of weak fruit … oops, their bodies need to learn to fight off sickness," said another.
"I slap hands." Seriously, my youngest is 6 months old and my oldest 3. If I've repeatedly asked you not to poke, punch, grab, or hold my baby – do not touch her, "another mama said.
"Good Lawd how did we all survive … we were touched, handed to strangers in the grocery store.
Parents of premature babies and babies with compromised immune systems said they were huge proponents.
"Got one for my preemie baby!" So far from me, "one mom said.
"Yeah my son was born with major heart defects and undergone surgeries …" another said.
The selection of "No Touching" signs on Etsy continues to grow.
Parents – is this a smart move or too much?
