Marvel and DC fans were surprised on Tuesday afternoon when it was announced that the old Guardians of the Galaxy Screenwriter and director James Gunn, who was fired from Marvel Studios for a series of 10-year tweets, wrote (probably realizing) Suicide team 2.
Although everyone certainly has their own ideas on the subject, one of DC's problems Suicide team the writers felt that Gunn's work on Guardians of the Galaxy made him an ideal candidate for DC's bad guys. After all, like the Guardians, the team is made up of marginals who come together for something bigger.
After the news has been made public, Suicide team Writer Rob Williams went on Twitter to support Gunn's potential facing the team.

Williams actually posted several tweets about hiring Gunn for Suicide team 2. In his initial response, he quoted an article about Gunn's recruitment, in which he wrote: "Well, if it's not the best idea …"
Shortly after, it was revealed that Gunn's take was perhaps not even a direct sequel, but rather a kind of new iteration of the team, Williams responded with the following answer: "As long as we get a good movie, everything is fine."

With Gunn writing the script for the new Suicide team film, and potentially sitting in the director's chair, there is a good chance that the film looks a lot like his previous two Guardians of the Galaxy exits. That's exactly what DC hopes.
