Fleetwood Mac has recently started his tour after the dismissal of guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. In a new interview with Rolling stoneBuckingham described the phone conversation during which he was informed that he had been fired from the group. He claims that two nights after playing with the band at a MusiCares event, the manager, Irving Azoff, told him, "Stevie never wants to be on a stage with you again."

He states that Azoff informed him of a list of complaints about things with which Stevie objected during the performance, claiming that he had "sneered" when his speech and that he had had an "explosion" when introducing music. He also states that Nicks has issued an ultimatum to the rest of the group: either Buckingham is fired or she leaves the group. Pitchfork contacted Fleetwood Mac representatives for comments.

Buckingham has already approached his shot during a live appearance. "I think what you would say is that there were factions in the group that had lost their perspective," he said. Nicks has already spoken of Buckingham's departure from the group. "Our relationship has always been volatile," she said. "It's sad for me, but I want the next 10 years of my life to be really fun and happy." Mick Fleetwood added: "The majority determines what we need to do as a group and move forward."
