Kim, of the World Bank, sees "net" economic slowdown if trade war intensifies

NUSA DUA, Indonesia (Reuters) – World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said on Thursday that he was very concerned about trade tensions between China and the United States and that it was detrimental to global growth if all countries increase their tariff threats.

Kim made these comments at a press conference at the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Bali.

Kim added that further study is needed to understand the effects of the trade war on countries providing goods and services in China.
