If you did not know we were still in pre-season, it would be impossible to know by watching the moments of Wednesday's matches. The Lakers and the Warriors met in Las Vegas. It could just as well have been a playoff match given the atmosphere and the intensity of the players … at least in the first half.
Meanwhile, rookie Trae Young has finally had his hour of glory as a pro and the real games have not even started yet. We are less than a week away from the regular season and anticipation is only growing. Here are the scores of Wednesday's games, followed by a few things that caught our attention.

LeBronzo in effect
If there is already a recipe for driving NBA fans, it's LeBron James who teams up with Lonzo Ball. We were finally able to see it on Wednesday and we were not disappointed. In their first possession of the second quarter, the Lakers ran a perfect play that ended with LeBron launching an alley in Lonzo for slam.
LeBron had not finished producing highlights, as he made a ridiculous, one-arm, 360-degree overlay while getting soiled.
And as if that were not enough, the king completed the half-time by shooting a drummer buzzer just inside the half-court, then stared at the basket as the cameras blinked.
James finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in 17 minutes. Ball finished with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and four interceptions in 23 minutes. So begins the story …
Trae Day
Crossing strikes inside the semi-field, Trae Young, the Hawks point guard, recorded the highlight of his young career on Wednesday, finishing fourth in the fourth quarter before confidently launching a 3-pointer winning the match.
Known for his long balls like this, Young only went into the game 4-on-16 after a well-prepared career, but at 4-on-8 against the Spurs he had 22 points and seven assists.
Jimmy who?
Two of the names commonly mentioned in Jimmy Butler's commercial rumors are Josh Richardson and Bam Adebayo. Naturally, the Heat hesitated to abandon them. They both explained why Wednesday. Richardson caught fire early, scoring 25 points in 28 minutes in his pre-season debut. Not to be outdone, Adebayo was everywhere, finishing with 26 points, 12 rebounds, five flights and three blocks.
They certainly make the Heat think twice before including them in any potential transaction.
Jabari in Chicago?
After signing a $ 40 million contract over two years this season, Jabari Parker is expected to become an essential offensive element for the Chicago Bulls this season. Let's say that it's not a good start. Parker struggled a lot in his first pre-season games and on Wednesday he was pulled out of the starting lineup for Bobby Portis. We can not be sure that it is a punitive decision or simply a rotational decision for Fred Hoiberg, but Parker once again had trouble putting the ball in the basket, making only four of his 12 placement attempts.
Meanwhile, Portis was excellent, scoring 20 points on 8 of 11 shots (including 4 of 7 to 3 points), as well as six rebounds, two interceptions and one block.
Parker complained of lack of playing time last year with the Milwaukee Bucks. It will be interesting to see how the Bulls will proceed if Portis continues to outperform their popular off-season acquisition.
Wall ball
If the Wizards are to improve this season, they will need John Wall to become an elite. On Wednesday, he looked fit for the mid-season, scoring 32 points, nine assists and five rebounds, plus a clutch bucket to put the game out too late.
