Kylie Jenner named Stormi the week after she was born – and she almost went with something else

The Kardashian-Jenner clan is famous for a variety of reasons, including its ability to create creative names. During her conversation with Charles, Jenner stated that she "did not entirely choose" her daughter's name right away. "I wanted to have a week with her and me to see if I wanted to change that," she continued, adding that she "also had another name in mind." Jenner has not revealed the alternative explicitly, but her comments suggest that whatever it may be, it pales in comparison to the one she chose. As most netizens know, the first mom finally chose Stormi.

In an Instagram publication that broke records as the most popular photo in IG history, Jenner finally announced her daughter's name on Jan. 7, about a week after Stormi's birth. The photo, which has since gleaned over 18 million likes on Instagram, is a close up of Jenner's baby, then born, with her little fingers wrapped around mom's thumb. His post was dubbed as the baby's first photo-op, along with the official name of Stormi. Subtitling the sweet photo, she wrote "stormi webster", with a baby emoji angel nailed to the end.

Speaking to Charles about how she and Scott finally came to this conclusion, Jenner said that "Stormi had always had the impression of her name since childhood," adding that "it's as if she had chosen her first name ". But while Jenner could have trusted the name himself, she said her spelling was a much harder conclusion for her. As she explained in the video, before her daughter was born, Jenner was determined to name her "Stormie" instead of "Stormi".

"I was just looking at the names of nature, inspired by time and earth," said Jenner. The research led it on behalf of Storm – without a suffix. "And then, I wanted a bit like me," Stormie went on, "then I made Stormie with a-yes." After that, Jenner thought that the fate of her perfect name was finally over. She was so sure of the "-ie" spelling that the expectant mother even bought bespoke toys bearing her daughter's name spelled that way.
