As reported later by the Maan News Agency, citing the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS), six Palestinians, including women, were arrested by Israeli security forces in the West Bank. Three Palestinians were arrested in Tulkarem district, one in Nablus district and two others in Jenin district. Security forces arrested two sisters of Ashraf Naawla, who committed a gun attack earlier this week.

During the raids, Israeli forces reportedly confiscated various items and damaged personal effects.

The attack on the territory comes a month after a 17-year-old Palestinian stabbed to death a 40-year-old man. Speaking on the subject, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that he considered the incident as a terrorist act.

The West Bank and the Gaza Strip are two Palestinian territories that are struggling to create an independent state of Israel, the latter refusing to recognize it.
