Miami Heat striker Justine Winslow has agreed to a $ 39 million, three-year contract extension, ESPN sources told the league.

Roc Nation finalized the deal with Heat president Pat Riley and general manager Andy Elisburg on Friday afternoon, league sources said. Miami holds a team option in the third year of the deal, sources said.
Winslow was eligible for his rookie extension as part of the NBA's 2015 promotion draft and was facing a deadline set for Monday to complete an expansion. Without extension, these players can enter restricted freedom on July 1st.
Current teams can match the offer sheets and retain restricted free agents.
The signing of the Winslow extension has short-term financial implications in any commercial scenario that would make it extremely difficult for Miami to include Winslow in an outgoing deal.
After surgery to repair a torn labrum on the shoulders, Winslow played 68 games last season with an average of 7.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Heat.
He was a NBA All-Rookie selection in 2016 and a member of the Duke National Championship team in 2015. He was the 10th pick in the NBA draft.
Winslow is the third member of the 2015 NBA promotion to accept a rookie extension. Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns (five years, $ 190 million) and Phoenix's Devin Booker (five years, $ 158 million) have signed maximum extensions.
