PORT DICKSON, Oct. 13 – PKR's director of communications, Fahmi Fadzil, urged supporters of Pakatan Harapan (PH) to obey the rules after the election commission said some of them were still campaigning.

The MP for Lembah Pantai warned that continuing to seek support, especially near polling centers, was against the law.

All voting solicitation activities must stop before polling day.

"Please, respect the rule of 50 m and please, do not do more campaign today. This is because the official campaign time has ended at 12 o'clock last night, "he said.

A report was filed with the EC this morning against supporters of two political parties allegedly campaigning at the entrance of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Teluk Kemang.

The Election Offenses Act prohibits active campaigns on polling days and political activities and accessories within 50 m of polling stations.

Fahmi also briefly denied the statement that PH was proposing to "compensate" the voters who had returned to vote in the PD by-election.

PKR's elected president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will compete against six other candidates today.
