Although this new Titans retains many of the main characters from these versions – Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy – its tone and content are just as different. Violence usually takes a while, but it combines humor and powerful performance to create an engaging show.
With the sheer volume of Batman adaptations released over the last decade, it has become a bit ridiculous to see how often viewers are shown images of the Wayne parents' murders, as if almost everyone on Earth did not know the origin of Batman. history now. The opening of Titans Go back a bit and show us a reenactment of Robin's parents' death – a story most people probably do not know about! As this is Robin's original version of Dick Grayson, his parents were circus acrobats known as Flying Graysons (a framed promotional poster is still visible in Dick's modern apartment). The nightmare of the young Rachel Roth stops before, but rest assured, the shadow of Bruce Wayne hovers over this series.
Who is Rachel Roth, ask yourself? Well, it's the girl who will become Raven, even though she does not have that name yet. At present, it is a troubled little girl who prevents the neighbors from sleeping at night with her screams. His mother keeps the door closed and crucifixed, but will not tell Rachel who she is or who she is. This makes it even more confusing for Rachel to come home from school and find a mysterious man holding his mother under the threat of a gun. With very little noise, he then kills Rachel's mother in front of her. It's a good indicator of how this show will work: people can and will be brutally murdered in no time. Violence has consequences, however, as this shooter says when Rachel's demonic secret of personality suddenly appears to attack him angrily.
Rather than staying to find out who he is and why he killed his mother, Rachel naturally runs away from home and catches the first ticket she finds for a bus to Detroit – not a city you often find portrayed in the stories of superheroes!
