President Donald Trump on Saturday issued messages of support to Republican representatives. Keith Rothfus and Andy Barr – two of the GOP's oldest members in the House – are in danger – in anticipation of a rally in Kentucky, where the president will fool for Barr later in the day.

"Highly respected Congressman Keith Rothfus (R) from Pennsylvania is in the battle of his life because the Dems have changed the district map," tweeted Trump. "He has to win – strong on crime, borders, big tax cuts, military and veterinarians."

Trump called on Rothfus' opponent, Democratic Representative Conor Lamb, "a weak Pelosi puppet in crime," adding: "BIG ENDORSEMENT FOR KEITH".

Lamb, whose insurgent attempt to overthrow former Republican Representative Rick Saccone earlier this year drew national attention, represents Pennsylvania's 18th congressional district. But he and Rothfus are now fighting over the seat of the 17th District House after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has redrawn the state convention card.

Earlier this year, the court issued a 139-page notice explaining the decision in which they had sentenced districts designated by the Republicans to have "clearly, clearly and plainly" violated the state's constitution.

In another post, Trump announced his appearance Saturday night in Richmond, Kentucky, at a Make America Great Again rally – his latest event in support of lawmakers and Republican candidates struggling to keep the party's majorities at bay. Congress in the last weeks before the mid-term elections of November.

"On the way to the Grand State of Kentucky – Grand Rally for Congressman Andy Barr – A fantastic guy, he needs his vote for MAGA!" Trump wrote online.

"Strong on crime, tax cuts, military, veterans and 2nd A. His opponent will NEVER vote for us, only for Pelosi," added the president. "Andy has my strongest support !!! See you in Kentucky."

Barr faces Democrat Amy McGrath, a former Navy fighter pilot, in the November general election.
