Deadline Approach in Mississippi for SBA Working Capital Loans from the SBA

ATLANTA, (WTVA) – US Small Business Administration recalls small businesses, small farms
cooperatives, small aquaculture enterprises and most private non-profit organizations
located in Lowndes and Noxubee Counties, Mississippi, November 15 is the deadline for filing
claims related to an economic crisis as a result of the drought that began on January 30, 2018.

"These counties are eligible because they are contiguous to one or more main counties in
Alabama. The Small Business Administration recognizes that disasters do not usually stop in the county or
lines of state. For this reason, the counties adjacent to the main counties named in the declaration are
including, "said Kem Fleming, director of the SBA's operations center in Atlanta.

Under this declaration, the SBA Disaster Financial Disaster Loan Program is available for
operating and non-agricultural entities that have suffered financial losses directly as a result of this
disaster. With the exception of aquaculture enterprises, the SBA can not provide disaster loans to
agricultural producers, farmers or ranchers. Nurseries are eligible for an economic loss claim
disaster loans for losses caused by drought.

Loans relate to working capital and can reach $ 2 million with interest rates of 3.58% for
eligible small businesses and 2.5 percent for non-profit organizations, and terms up to 30 years.
Applicants can apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via the SBA secure website at
DisasterLoan.sba.gov.
