Winter arrived early in much of the United States – only in mid-October.
According to ABC News and AccuWeather, a cold front generates unusually early snow in the Rockies and High Plains.
Montana received snow on Friday while Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska and Colorado made it on Saturday. New Mexico, Minnesota and Iowa are also part of the cold snap, according to Weather.com.
In Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota, up to six to twelve inches of snow would have been accumulated. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Wet Mountains and Pikes Peak can accommodate 16 inches. The cold should plunge Tuesday in the Gulf States.

In Colorado, some regions receive six inches of snow until Sunday, according to CBS Denver. A few hours before the Denver Broncos were ready to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon, the Broncos stadium was filled with several inches of snow, reported CBS Sports.
