NBC News released a correction via Twitter on Sunday after President Trump called the network earlier for "deliberately" changing the meaning of his comments on General Ulysses S. Grant.
"CORRECTION: A previous tweet misidentified General President Trump, described as incredible at a rally in Ohio. It was General Ulysses S. Grant and not General Robert E. Lee. An attached video clip lacked the full context for Trump's remark, " the network said in the display.
He is referring to an NBC tweet posted Friday at a Trump rally in Lebanon, Ohio, while he was celebrating Buckeye State's historic personalities.

Earlier Sunday, Trump said his words were really a "cry of joy" for Grant.
