SAN FRANCISCO – Fremont Street will once again be open to pedestrians and vehicles on Monday morning, after investigative teams investigated the cracked steel girders that support the still-closed Salesforce Transit Center, were completed this weekend. announced the authorities.

In a statement last week. Officials said the street-level work was done, but added that the complexity of the shoring system meant that work would continue until early next week on the downtown bus bridge and two station levels.

Officials from the Transbay Joint Powers Authority announced Sunday that the four-level shoring system located under the center, between Howard and Mission Streets, has been completed and that Fremont should reopen in time for the morning commute.

The authority stated that she had worked with Webcor / Obayashi and structural engineers Thornton Tomasetti to install the shoring system. A similar design on First Street will be strengthened by caution, added officials.

No cracks appeared on the First Street site during testing and monitoring, and no closures are currently planned.
