An Air India flight attendant was injured after being dropped from the door of a plane parked at the Indian Mumbai airport.
Harsha Lobo was preparing the flight for his embarkation to Delhi Monday morning when the incident occurred.
Ms. Lobo, 52, suffered a fracture and other injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Air India, the country's national airline, said in a statement that it was investigating the incident.
"During an unfortunate incident, one of our cabin crew members (members), Harsha Lobo, fell on the tarmac from the Boeing-777 aircraft's doorway." by closing it, "said the airline.
The doctors consulted Ms. Lobo at the Mumbai airport before sending her to the hospital.
"She is conscious and well oriented, but suffered an open fracture of the bones of the right leg and multiple blunt injuries," said an airport official quoted by the Hindu newspaper.
Last week, an Air India plane bound for Dubai, located in southern India, was damaged after hitting the airport wall during takeoff.
The plane, which was carrying 130 passengers and six crew members, was diverted to Mumbai, where it landed safely.
The incident came several weeks after more than 30 passengers aboard an Indian Jet Airways plane had to be treated after their pilots had "forgotten" to switch on a switch to regulate cabin pressure.
