Warren said his great-great-grandmother was at least partly Native American, which is consistent with the test results. But the test results also point to the possibility that Warren's Native American heritage goes back 10 generations, which would only make 1/512 Native American.
An earlier attempt to conceal the president's claim that Warren profited professionally from his Native American heritage did not seem to be very successful.
In September, the Boston Globe published an article, citing over 100 interviews, according to which ethnicity was "not a factor" in Warren's professional boom. But that did not prevent the president from claiming the opposite.
No later than Tuesday, at a rally in Iowa, the president said Warren had "so many benefits" thanks to his claim to Native American heritage. Two days later, on Fox News, the president continued his attack.
