UFC's Conor McGregor at the Dallas Cowboys game
The Dallas Cowboys had a little more motivation in their corner for a crucial match of the 6th week with the Jacksonville Jaguars. While Ezekiel Elliott and his company were striving to avoid falling to 2-4 the season, the presence of UFC star, Conor McGregor, had apparently helped to motivate a little more.
He also added a bit of bragging much needed for a Cowboy foul that was constantly called out for his mediocre play. As the team showed in advance of the game, McGregor was on the ground and there was definitely the energy of the players.
But apparently, Sunday's game against the Jaguars was not the first time the Cowboys turned to McGregor as a way to motivate and inspire. As said Jason Garrett coach 105.3 the fan Monday (courtesy of Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News), they have already inspired videos of the star of the UFC.
Although McGregor's videos are excellent, it seems that nothing is more effective than having him there in person.
Cowboys offensive performance
The mood of Sunday's game was different almost at the outset for the Cowboys game. In the pass, there is no doubt that the star was Cole Beasley, who scored nine passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns. He created headaches throughout the match for a talented Jaguar defense, but even if the numbers for the rest of the players were not bright, they were mostly consistent.
From the moment Dak Prescott threw a side-touch to rookie Michael Gallup early in the first half, things turned out to be different. After Beasley, no spreader had more than one shot, but that's largely because Prescott took what he was given.
Prescott's ability to run (11 attempts for 82 yards and a touchdown) as well as Elliott's strong performance (106 yards, one TD) allowed the Jaguars to remain on guard and free Beasley. If the Cowboys can continue to move in that direction, there is something to be excited about from this group.
