An American soldier involved in a Ukrainian hunting accident
WASHINGTON – A US military member was involved in a plane crash in Ukraine during a training exercise on Tuesday, US Air Forces announced in Europe and the African Air Force.
A Ukrainian fighter Su-27UB crashed in the Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine during a multinational exercise called Clear Sky 2018, according to a press release regarding this accident.
The condition and role of the US military service member in the crash was not revealed on Tuesday. The accident is under investigation.
Clear Sky 2018 includes 950 people from the United States and eight other countries.
The United States planned to send about 450 people to participate in the exercise, including about 250 pilots and maintenance officers. The others had to play supportive roles.
