Halloween has an amazing reminder to the original in its original soundtrack

Music has always been a key part of Halloween the place of the franchise in the history of pop culture, some scores being as emblematic as the piano-themed theme that John Carpenter designed for Michael Myers. This part of the legacy continues in the new suite of 2018, with Carpenter in composition, but what you may not notice when you see the movie for the first time is that it's not the same. a special Easter egg is hidden in the soundtrack. Director David Gordon Green recently revealed,

Last month, I had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with David Gordon Green during the Los Angeles Press Day. Halloweenand during the conversation, I touched on the topic of Easter eggs. Having recognized some head marks in the previous chapters of the series by watching the movie, I asked him if he had any favorite tributes in the movie. And if he also mentioned an item that can not be revealed before the release of the film, he also revealed the item without spoiler above.

The song in the original Halloween which David Gordon Green refers to is at the very beginning of the film, shortly after Laurie Strode's first public presentation. While she walks to school, her father asks her to drop a key at the Myers – and it's here that Michael Myers sees her for the first time. After leaving the key and continuing on his way, Michael continues to watch her and listens as she sings a song for herself.

Halloween It was an extremely respectful production of budgets, but it is historically a part of its charm. It's an extremely simple, no-frills film, and its simplicity makes it even more terrifying. Production was more expensive than potentially expensive song rights, so she created something all her own – and now that track is something special in the next 2018.
