MOSCOW – At least 10 people were killed and many others injured when an explosive device rocked a Crimean high school on Wednesday, Russian media reported.
The Russian National Guard said that an explosive device was involved and called the cause of terrorism, reported the news agency Tass.
Eyewitnesses from the school, attended by children aged 14 to 18, said gunmen shot in the air before the blast, local radio Kerch FM reported.
The attack took place in Kerch, a town east of Crimea, a peninsula of Russia annexed by Ukraine four years ago. Kerch is also the place where a new bridge financed by the Kremlin connects Crimea to Russia.
