Everyone knows Black Friday, but do you know UPS Brown Friday?
UPS, the multinational parcel delivery company, is organizing its one-day recruiting event on Friday, October 19 across the country.
In order to hire about 100,000 seasonal employees for its peak vacation shipments, Brown Friday of UPS will hire thousands of on-site candidates.
"Almost everyone has heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but for those looking for a good seasonal job this holiday season, UPS Brown Friday promises the first good deal of the season," said Stefond Harris. Vice President of Human Resources. "Many of those who come to one of our job fairs this Friday could be registered for a seasonal job by Monday."
Full-time and part-time positions are available for parcel handlers, drivers and assistant drivers. All positions could eventually lead to permanent employment.
