Stephanie Morse has a pretty unique family and not all members live in the house.
"They're part of my family – it's like they were my babies – some live in the yard," Morse told KNOE-TV.
And as a normal family member, these chickens are not locked up.
They are well fed. With a nice place to sleep.
They even dress for the holidays.
Morse says she dresses her girls in costumes every Halloween.
But the CDC cheat on this treat by asking people not to put on their pet costumes and stop cuddling them for not being exposed to salmonella.
When asked what she thought about not being able to hold her chickens, Morse replied, "I like to hold them, I love talking to them." Everyone has names . "

Experts like Dallas Morrell in Downsville say that when meat comes to the table, it's up to you to stay safe.
He may be a young farmer, but he is not a spring chicken in bacteria.
"If there is a discoloration or something that is wrong, do not eat it," warns Morrell.
He says it's safer to shop locally.
"Look at who you give your chickens in. If you're a chicken farmer like us, all our birds are kept in separate cages," he said.
Morse said that she will continue to let her birds strut her.
