Protesters greet Pelosi with swearing at the end of his campaign in Florida

House minority leader Nancy Pelosi was confronted by a crowd at an election call in Coral Gables, Fla., Wednesday, as protesters cursed her and called her communist .

The incident was filmed, showing Pelosi calmly entering the headquarters of Florida Democratic House candidate Donna Shalala while surrounded by protesters. She did not engage with them.

"Look at Nancy Pelosi right here, becoming a Communist. Take out the f — d here. F — you and your Democrats who love to reign, "protesters shouted in English and Spanish with anti-communist signs.

"You are not to belong here," also heard a person shout. "Socialism is zero," said another.

The video of the confrontation was uploaded to YouTube and titled "Nancy Pelosi was heckled in a restaurant in Miami by Trump Supporting Cubano Americans", but she's actually produced outside the stop of the campaign for Shalala, reported the Washington Post.

The protest was hosted by Nelson Diaz, president of the Miami-Dade County Republican Party, the Post reported. Some demonstrators reportedly carried traces of Proud Boys, a well-known right-wing group often accused of having participated in violent fights with their opposition.

The protest followed Pelosi's participation in an event with Shalala that was also expected to bring together California's Democratic Representative, Barbara Lee, a Liberal legislator who drew the fury of the local Cuban community for praising the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

After Castro's death, Lee once declared that he "needed to take a break and mourn his loss," and described it as "very sad for the Cuban people."

Shalala's campaign eventually overthrows Lee after the outcry and the event only included Pelosi.

The hostile episode, which followed months of public harassment by most GOP lawmakers, sparked a bipartisan sentence.

"I do not agree with the agenda of Nancy Pelosi, but it's absolutely the wrong way to express these differences," tweeted Republican Steve Scalise, who was seriously injured last year after being injured by ball during a training session at the club. "If you want to stop her policies, do not threaten her, VOTE! That's how we settle our differences."

A Pelosi spokesman, Drew Hammill, told the post that Republicans and President Trump were responsible for inciting such behavior from the crowd.

"It is deeply sad but not surprising that we are now seeing this ugliness rise," she said. "It's amazing that Republicans have the nerve to call survivors of courageous sexual assault" mobs "at the same time as they incite and condone violent actions like this. Republicans must condemn this vile and dangerous behavior and put an end to the reckless and dangerous rhetoric that encourages it. "
