Finally, the longest streak of defeats in the history of the school is over, as has the past year in the Memorial Stadium frustration schedule.

Finally, Scott Frost got his first victory as the head coach of his alma mater.

What a series of futility this victory has ended. Ten consecutive games that Nebraska had lost. Three hundred and fifty seven days without a win and 392 since they managed to defeat Tom Osborne Field. Since that day, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Northwest, Iowa, Colorado, Troy and Purdue have all come to Lincoln and left with bragging rights.

Nebraska, however, sent the Gophers home empty-handed.
