TAMPA, Fla – This week's edition of Hey, Mary Kay! deals primarily with Carlos Hyde's trade to the Jaguars for a fifth round pick in 2019.
Why did John Dorsey send the Browns striker to Jacksonville only six games in the season? Was it forcing the coaches to play more against Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson?
Is there anything about Carlos Hyde that we do not know? Was it about acquiring assets to try to trade against a receiver?

Hey, Mary Kay: Carlos Hyde ala Billy Beane and Moneyball Have they been forced by the front-office to force coaching staff to play more against Nick Chubb? – Brett Shaver, Cleveland, Ohio
Hey, Brett: No, it does not work that way with Browns GM John Dorsey and coach Hue Jackson. They work hand in hand to rearrange this list and create a competitor. Dorsey would never have traded Hyde if Jackson was not completely comfortable with that. There's no chance he'll get a power play like this and take care of the scorer and the top scorer if Jackson does not totally agree.
On the contrary, he forced offensive coordinator Todd Haley to give the ball to Chubb and Duke Johnson, which he has not done enough this season. Whenever we asked Jackson about Chubb or Johnson, he always said that he wanted them to get the ball more often. For some reason, that did not happen, especially in the case of Chubb, who did not carry the ball more than three times in a match. But Jackson lets his coordinators direct the show and I doubt he ordered Haley to use them more. Haley does not have a choice.
