As a group of overcrowded Clemson University students and residents danced in a clubhouse late Saturday night, Jeremy Tester felt something strange under his feet.

Police said that 30 people were injured when the floor of the apartment's clubhouse collapsed during a party at the Homecoming Weekend in Clemson, South Carolina.
Jimmy Dixon, Clemson police chief, told WNF, affiliated with CNN, that no individual was trapped during the collapse and that no one was injured. A total of 30 people were sent to three hospitals in the area with fractures and lacerations.
"We're just grateful that it was not worse than it was," Dixon said.

The apartment complex is about three miles northeast of Clemson University. The clubhouse building where the collapse occurred is a common area of the complex and was built in 2004, Slann said.
