SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazilian presidential candidate Fernando Haddad said on Monday that the country's democracy would be in danger if his right-wing rival, Jair Bolsonaro, was elected in the second round of the poll.

Haddad made the comments a day after a video of Bolsonaro's son Eduardo said that Brazil's Supreme Court should be dissolved if it decided to defeat its father from victory in the October 28 legislative elections.

Haddad also said that hard military would threaten democratic institutions under a Bolsonaro government – which the right wing has repeatedly denied.
