Summary of the arrow: Season 7, Episode 2

"The Longbow Hunters" marks the introduction of the new villains of the season and complicates the already unusual dynamics between former members of the Arrow team.

As I mentioned, the episode features the Longbow Hunters, the trio of assassins that Ricardo Diaz hired to take revenge on everyone, well. We first meet the three villains – Red Dart, Kodiak and Silencer – as they infiltrate one of ARGUS 'off-site shelters and steal a great battery. What sets them apart from the previous groups of villains in the series is that they seem to have fun doing their job, especially Red Dart and Silencer, who uses noise suppression technology to sneak and kill enemies. I admit, however, that I find Kodiak a little silly but endearing. It's like Arrow looked at each other and said to himself, "Okay, we have a guy with a bow and arrows, a guy with a sword, what's the next out-of-date weapon we can give to someone?" Oh yes, a deadly shield. "(Yes, I know Kodiak is a comic book character, but that does not stop him from using a shield as a hilarious offensive weapon).

Anyway, the flight of the Longbow Hunters puts everything in motion, including the rising tension between Felicity and Diggle. Following her decision to fight, Felicity is eager to pursue Diaz. She asks Diggle to let her get involved. But, as Diggle has repeatedly reminded him, it's ARGUS, not Team Arrow. Part of Diggle's position is also due to the fact that his boss reminded him that battery recovery is their priority because ARGUS is not in charge of criminal investigations.

So, Felicity takes things in hand and recruits Curtis and Rene to help him locate the Longbow Hunters Lair. It's empty when they arrive and in their excitement, they accidentally trigger an alarm that erases all data from the laptop. Oh, Diggle is also coming with a tactical team from ARGUS. And remember a growling company from Diggle, who is forced to reveal that ARGUS is so worried about the battery because it can be used to power an energy weapon.

Following Felicity's mistake on the field, Diggle revokes his access to a computer at ARGUS, which led to the duo's first fight, well, I do not know when. Felicity accuses Diggle of abandoning Oliver and the mission and even mentioned the fact that he had refused Oliver's desire to take over from Green Arrow. Although some of her remarks are not entirely accurate – especially that the last six years clearly meant nothing to him – it's easy to understand where she's coming from because she's lost everything and it is also logical that she channel it. hardly find Diaz. In addition, the tenacity with which Felicity tries to take Diaz is quite in sync with the way she acted in season 5 with Prometheus and teaming with Helix.

Diggle leaves her space to Felicity, but ends up taking her aside to talk a little more and reveals that he did not take the hood again because he saw what it did to Oliver's family and Felicity and he could not do it to Lyla and Little John. Like Felicity, the reasons Diggle made his decision are perfectly understandable. I am happy that the series takes their points of view into account and never feels like choosing one's side. In addition, David Ramsey and Emily Bett Rickards also perform well.
