Prince William and Kate should also show their support for the monarch and attend the state banquet. The formality of the occasion calls for a black tie that, for Kate, will mean a long dress and scintillating diadem. Fans have only seen the duchess wear a tiara several times, including at her wedding with William in 2011, state banquets and diplomatic dinners at Buckingham Palace.
She had already worn the tiara Knot Knot, a dazzling Cambridge Lover, favorite of Princess Diana and Lotus Flower diadem, which originally belonged to the Queen Mother.
