Before applying for H-1B visas, the employer submits an application for working conditions to the Ministry of Labor. Businesses can process H-1B applications only after receiving such certification from the Ministry of Labor.
According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), 419,637 foreign nationals were working in the United States on an H-1B visa as of October 5.
