Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Ben Askren is apparently on his way to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, thanks to what would be a historic trade deal, with big Demetrious Johnson from Pound-to-Pound headed to the ONE Championship in return. This is a good plan for all concerned; Johnson will (hopefully) get a better financial deal from ONE, while Ben Askren will finally be able to test his bravery against the best fighters in the world, unless ONE manages to cross-promote with RIZIN and set up a revenge Kyoji Horiguchi. The fans of Demetrious Johnson will lose and will not see Johnson fight the best in the world. The other potential development is that the men's flyweight could be split into a division of the UFC, which had already been threatened.
The possibilities for Askren's first opponent are numerous, but Askren has the ideal opponent in mind. His friend Tyron Woodley, a college wrestler, should already be fighting him, but Ben called Colby Covington on the infamous heel after Woodley's end, or if Covington beat Woodley. The match would pit wrestler against wrestler.
He also hinted at another important match: Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Dagestan lightweight champion who has just stifled Conor McGregor, has been in Askren's sights for years.
It will be interesting to see Askren finally confronted with a real challenge. The UFC was renowned for its contempt when it was looking for a duel with the then champion, Johny Hendricks, which led him to sign for ONE. Now he will have a late chance to show what he can do.
Now you all have big problems!

Demetrious Johnson, meanwhile, changed his Twitter account to @ Mighty1Gaming after rumors spread.
It seems that Zuffa's contracts are a standard language for exchanging fighters, although this is the first time this has happened.

Spirits are illuminated by possibilities; This is a potentially promising precedent for fighters seeking higher compensation through a competition between promoters, as well as for fans wanting new confrontations between fighters from different organizations.

That does not look promising for Khabib Nurmagomedov, who received half of his $ 2 million fight bag.
Nevada Deputy Attorney General Carolyn Bateman said Khabib Nurmagomedov's actions were the "catalyst" for UFC 229.

It would be a fun match
According to sources, the UFC is about to conclude a welterweight fight between Gunnar Nelson and Alex "Cowboy" Oliveira for UFC 231 on December 8 in Toronto. Adding fun to a card that already fascinates me between Holloway / Ortega and Valentina / Joanna.

Abdul Razak Alhassan is still officially on the UFC website and remains eligible to vote, and the UFC has not made any public comment on his rape charge.
It's crazy to see how even the best fighters in the UFC are paid less than the revenues they generate. This PPV easily raised more than $ 100 million and probably brought in $ 60 million, even after McGregor's much more generous split.
According to Marnell, Nurmagomedov won between $ 5 million and $ 6 million in UFC 229.

It's unbelievable that Snyder went so easily to Sadulaev, but these things are going on in a fight.
