After two women were found dead floating along the Hudson River off the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Wednesday, the authorities are releasing composite sketches in the hope of identifying them.
According to the police, the unknown women – between the ages of 20 and 20 – were tied together with tape.
According to police sources, the investigators believe that the women wanted to end their lives, stuck together and jumped to the water.
A medical examiner will determine the causes of their deaths, the police said.

The bodies were spotted near 68 Street and Riverside Park on Wednesday afternoon by a passerby who called 911, the New York Police Department said.
The women, who were lying on rocks near the river, showed no obvious sign of trauma, the officers said.
According to the police, the bodies were washed away by the tide and remained when the tide went out.

Both women are described as between 25 and 30 years old. Each has a medium build, medium complexion and black and medium curly hair, the police said.
The two women were about 5 feet 3 feet by 5 feet 6 inches and wore a black jacket with fur trim and black leggings, the police said.
