After initially refusing, Instagram finally took a post by Milo Yiannopoulos in which the former Breitbart editor said it was "disgusting and sad" that several political bombs felt like "did not go off."
He also lamented that he was not feeling to the Daily Beast.
"Just catching up with all these pipe bombs," Yiannopoulos wrote in his post to nearly 400,000 followers Thursday. "Disgusting and sad (that they did not go off, and the daily beast did not get one)."
When Daily Beast journalist Will Sommer complained to Instagram, the company said that the post "does not violate our community guidelines," Sommer reported.
Instagram's community guidelines insist that "it's never OK to encourage violence" and that the social media platform is "not a place to support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups."
The message was eventually issued to Yiannopoulos saying that it was violating the company's community guidelines. He complained in a follow-up post that "mob rule" succeeded in blocking the post after complaints by "social justice warriors."

Instagram did not immediately return a request for comment from HuffPost.
A representative told The Verge: "We made an initial mistake but it was confirmed that the content violated our policies."
Instagram finally told The Daily Beast in an email: "This content violates our policies. … We prohibit celebration or praise of crimes committed, and we will not be happy.
A similar Yiannopoulos post on Facebook, which owns Instagram, was no longer on Thursday evening.

Yiannopoulos said these comments were "an obvious joke," and called the pipe bombs, without any substantiation, a "false flag" intended to distract the public from the caravan of immigrants heading to the U.S. border. That's a growing chorus among right-wing pundits: that the bombs feel to George Soros, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Robert DeNiro and others were a fake distraction from political issues.

Yiannopoulos was permanently banned from Twitter in 2016 after the trolling of comedian and actress Leslie Jones.
He was forced out at Breitbart for an interview in which he appeared to support pedophilia involving boys as young as 13.
