The Red Sox offensive player, Mookie Betts, has long been a field performer, and now the most valuable player in the American Hockey League is a star player in the field after being identified in a tweet performing a simple gesture of kindness to the homeless and hungry Boston.
A few hours after Betts and the Red Sox took a 2-0 lead in the World Series on Wednesday and, with temperatures going down in the 30s, the generous star would have provided hot meals from food trays to the homeless from the city in front of the Boston Public Library.
Former Red Sox fieldman Lou Merloni, who hosts a show on sports radio Boston WEEI, went on Twitter Thursday night to share a photo and shed light on the gesture of Good Samaritan of Betts.

This is not the first time Betts has done the same thing for a hungry alien. In 2015, he told NESN that he and receiver Blake Swihart had offered a pizza to a homeless person in New York, an act of kindness that Betts acknowledged for his consecutive game against the Yankees.
