According to the police, a brother of the Texas fraternity, arrested on charges of hazing, died on campus.
Andrew Walker, 19, was found dead Thursday night at a Texas Christian University bridge in Fort Worth, the Dallas News reported.
The authorities believe that Walker jumped from the fourth floor of a parking garage to an apartment complex and died from a blunt wound.
Walker's death comes a few weeks after his arrest due to a hazing incident on September 3 at Kappa Sigma fraternity home. Walker and another fraternity brother, Christopher Barker, reportedly broke promises in the first year with vodka blows and forced them to eat expired guacamole.
The alleged hazing resulted in one of the freshmen landed in the hospital for alcohol intoxication. Authorities said his blood alcohol level was so high that he could have died.
School officials said bereavement services would be available to students after Walker's death.
"Texas Christian University is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our students, Andrew Walker," said the university in a statement. "We are a small campus community and a death among our family, the horn of frogs hurts us all. We send our sincere thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family at this difficult time. "
